For though now my hand etches such words
yours was the first to grab hold once a tiny palm.
Behold I for what thy eyes see for yours was the first my eyes did see.
Starvation I do not know for nourishment fresh and whole.
I did receive.
No trouble feet I journey on due to encouragement of my first step.
Life is good and pure to me.
No hatred can I hold within for you were the first to show me love.
Enriched, I feel at peace, I know dreams still lie ahead.
A journey not quite reached another place another time.
I do not know when.
Nevertheless, on that road I choose to walk the best I can.
It does not matter what it brings or really, when it comes.
For shortly, my dreams are here.
Enriched my childhood years and youth gone by
Love strength one could not deny.
No greater love a child granted.
No better gift a child could receive or ask.
Then to have been blessed with parents such as you.
In his image strength and love
