Beauty in Nature

As far as my eyes could see tall timbers were aiming upward rested above blue clear skies and mountain peaks that stood in the distance. The chirping of birds and the sound of nature surrounded me. Pinecones and wildflowers seem to cover the grasslands and mountain sides. Rocks embedded in the soil of all shapes and sizes moved me at times by their formation. Such art formations can be seen. A family of white tail deer and wild turkeys roaming the area. 

Nature is alive and vibrant, the sun beaming down from above with a cool brisk of the wind blowing through the pines. My eyes capture the beauty in just this moment. My mind travels with the peacefulness within and joy overflowing. Moments as such in so many ways speak for themselves while one listens. I am moved and captivated and in constant awe. With the moment and with what God has created for me to enjoy. So, I continue to embark surrounded with nature under the big sky. 

Enjoying this time away from all the hustle and the stresses at times life brings. Seems as if everyone is in a rush and yet I do ponder what’s the hurry. I find it’s important to slow down and take time to enjoy and breathe. Discover the opportunities just the day can hold. I smile with the delight with all the blessings I call my own by these moments shared with God, self, family, and friends. It all entwined with another. For what adventure awaits me on this day I’m still to discover. 

I’m looking forward to every moment I have today.  Making the most of every opportunity with the wisdom given. As I watch the tall timbers sway in the wind simultaneously with one another. My mind ponders on all God has and is giving me. The opportunity to grow and to know the beauty that has been given to me as I have and continue to discover in my relationship with him. 

How grateful I am to be surrounded by natural beauty amid nature. Birds in flight some resting on branches oh how they soar when they take flight. ©BluebirdSK, Susan Knowlen 2024
